The Southern Oneida County Council of Government (SOCCOG) is comprised of member municipalities from the southern portion of Oneida County, New York with the purpose of addressing issues of common concern through representation, cooperation and regular communication to allow for better use of resources through joint projects; community development and planning; and more efficient local government.

Group Purchase of Road Signs & Emergency Radios

SOCCOG members have expressed interest in joint purchasing for mandated road sign replacement and emergency radio upgrades.

Grant Provides Six Websites for SOCCOG Communities
October 26, 2009

 

Through the NY State Archives and Records LGRMIF Grant Program with assistance from Digital Towpath Cooperative and Cornell Cooperative Extension, seven local municipalities will be getting websites.  The communities of Bridgewater (V), Oriskany (V), Oriskany Falls (V)/Augusta (T), Sangerfield (T), Marshall (T), and Vernon (V) will be improving communications with their residents by creating an Internet presence.  The websites will be capable of providing access to municipal offices including local officials, clerks, assessors, board members, department supervisors, and the court system, as well as meeting minutes, permit requirements, newsletters, links and upcoming events.
